According to the definition, "Burnout is a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress. It can leave you feeling drained, unmotivated, and detached, negatively impacting your personal and professional lives".
But in simple terms, it can be given as "OVERWORK stress"
So, here are some quick tips that I use to get a speedy recovery from burnout:
First of all, understand :
"We are humans and genetically coded to take breaks"
Taking a break from all that work and other responsibilities can help you recharge. It's essential to give yourself rest and engage in activities that bring you joy.
YOU CAN USE YOUR 2 MOST POWERFUL WEAPONS, I.E., SAYING "NO" to the overbearing responsibilities that are forcefully imposed on you, and saying "YES" to your own well-being.
The people around us also play a crucial role in recovering from burnout, as a great chit-chat with a pinch of laughter can improve your own mood and remove anxiety. They also act as a support system to whom you can talk and express your feelings towards how you feel being exhausted due to work.
You can also engage with your long-beloved hobby, which gave you a sense of existence and made you feel different from other people because it can boost your dopamine and make you feel good.
PRO TIPS:
USE SPECIAL TECHNIQUES LIKE: Pomodoro technique which involves taking
5 mins breaks after each work session of 25 mins. Cause it been scientifically proven that you are brain wired to focus for at most half an hour so after every 25 mins your brain reboots and you are back on track.
The human body needs 3 essential elements:
a. Water
b. Air
c.Sunlight
Drinking plenty of water like about 8 glasses every day can help keep stable the mind and body
Fresh air can make you feel comfortable and change of environment for a particular period of time.
Sunlight is the most important element as sunlight is said to be the living light of earth each organism needs it for survival.
And the fat layer under the skin gets burned by the sunlight so it helps in producing more vitamin D.
Eating dark chocolate can uplift your serotonin levels and can totally change your body's activeness.
A short trip or a new experience can be helpful for a total body cycle of a person
i hope these tips would be able to help you but i would like to end this article with a quote:
"Smooth seas never made a skilled sailor"
it has a deep meaning of acceptance cause burnout can be a hard tsunami wave to test this sailor , so we should fight it no matter what.
